Amanda Skillern's Bio
As Vice President Quality, Amanda manages McCarthy’s national quality program and develops and implements new approaches to quality construction. She works closely with the firm’s regional quality directors to drive continuous improvement throughout the company, with a focus on process improvement, training and overall implementation of the quality program. With a decade of experience analyzing and leading quality in construction, energy and other sectors, she uses her leadership, quality management and strategic planning experience to iteratively improve McCarthy’s quality programs and improve outcomes for clients.
Doug Audiffred's Bio
Doug is responsible for the accounting, finance and insurance components of McCarthy including cash management, investments, internal audit financial reporting and risk management. Doug has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, started with McCarthy in 1994 and has served as CFO since 2008. Doug’s community service includes St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf where he serves as finance committee chair and member of their executive committee and board of directors, and also serves on the board of directors of Youth in Need. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Illinois State University.
Joe Jouvenal's Bio
Joe is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Southern Region. With more than 21 years of experience, he began with McCarthy as a project engineer and has held multiple field and leadership positions including project manager and project director. In his previous role as executive vice president operations for the Southern Region, he led management on projects in the healthcare, corporate and municipal market sectors.
An active advocate for the industry and workforce development, he also spends time supporting community organizations including Children’s Health of Dallas. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
John Buescher's Bio
As President for McCarthy's Central Region, John oversees McCarthy operations in 29 states east of the Rockies. With nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he worked his way up at McCarthy from assistant project superintendent to project superintendent, project manager, project director and business unit leader prior to assuming his current role. John is a professional mechanical engineer and also holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. John has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
Justin Kelton's Bio
Justin leads all company operations within the Southwest, including Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado. His career with McCarthy began as a laborer on a hospital construction project. After several years in the trades and service in the United States Marine Corps, Justin became a project engineer with McCarthy in 2001. He served as project director, vice president, senior vice president and executive vice president prior his current role. He has been instrumental in developing and expanding the region’s education services, including the launch of Job Order Contracting, and McCarthy's national solar, healthcare, municipal and commercial market sectors. He serves as a board chair of the American Heart Association’s Greater Phoenix Chapter and the Support Sky Harbor Coalition, and also is a member of the Arizona Builder’s Alliance, American Society of Civil Engineers and WESTMARC. Justin earned a civil and environmental engineering degree from Vermont Technical College.
Kamecia Mason's Bio
Kamecia Mason serves as McCarthy’s Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, overseeing the firm’s national internal and external strategy and implementation. Mason works in close collaboration with regional diversity directors across the company and reports directly to CEO Ray Sedey.
With a reputation for leadership within the industry focused on enhancing inclusive cultures and community engagement, Mason joined McCarthy in June 2019 as Director of Diversity and Community Outreach for the McCarthy Southern Region. In this role, she helped McCarthy expand mentoring and outreach efforts, including the establishment of a new McCarthy Capacity Building Program optimizing the core business skills of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program participants.
Mason has been recognized by multiple organizations for her commitment to diversity and leadership, including being named to the 2016 “40 under 40” list by the Dallas Business Journal, 2015 Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs by D-Mars Magazine, 2014 Luna Women’s Business Advocate of the Year by the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association, and 2013 Advocate of the Year by the Dallas-Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council. Mason holds Certified Diversity Executive credentials from the Institute for Diversity.
Kevin Maitland's Bio
Kevin Maitland is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of McCarthy’s national safety program and the firm’s document administration function to maintain all company policies and procedures. He brings more than 30 years total construction experience to his role, 22 of these with McCarthy. Prior to assuming his current position, Maitland served as McCarthy’s Central Division Safety Director, overseeing McCarthy's safety policies, working closely with trade partners, clients and OSHA to ensure safe jobsites, and ensuring procedures were developed and implemented throughout each project in the region.
Among other industry involvement, Maitland was formerly the chairman of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri Executive Safety & Health Committee and is a current committee member. He also serves on the OSHA Partnership Committee and as a Substance Abuse Consortium Trustee with the organization. He served as chairman of the Safety & Crime Prevention Committee for Southern Illinois Builders Association for three years and is a current active committee member. He is also a board member for the Safety Council of Greater St. Louis and company representative with the National Construction Safety Executives. Maitland has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers for 23 years.
Matt Lawson's Bio
Matt Lawson is responsible for McCarthy legal affairs nationwide. Working with the rest of the McCarthy Legal Department, his responsibilities include legal risk management, coordination of claims resolution, and developing contracting approaches/procedures and field/administrative procedures. Matt began with McCarthy as Region counsel and then associate general counsel prior to assuming his current position as senior vice president/general counsel.
Mike Myers's Bio
Named regional president in January 2018, Mike reports directly to McCarthy President and COO Scott Wittkop. Mike formerly served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Castle Contracting for more than 16 years. During his tenure as COO of Castle, he was responsible for all field and office operations as well as the business development and estimating functions. Under his leadership, Castle has grown to a highly successful business with over 200 employees. After the McCarthy acquisition of Castle in late 2014, Mike became Executive Vice President and a member of the McCarthy Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his relocation to California, Mike was also associated with the ACE Mentor Program of St. Louis, AGC of Missouri, Eastern Missouri Laborers and the Flags of Valor organization.
Mike Gonzalez's Bio
Mike Gonzalez oversees McCarthy’s Integrated Design Delivery process in the Southwest, including designintegration, constructability and design reviews, dynamic estimating, trend log management and virtual designand construction. During his 25-plus year career, he has worked with clients in a variety of industries including life science, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, power, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, parking, high-technology and higher education. His experience also includes more than 20 years as a specialty subcontractor installing process mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems maximizing prefabrication and modularization of systems.
Mike has served for more than 28 years as a United States Army Engineer officer, where he is currently a colonel in the Arizona Army National Guard commanding the Regional Training Institute. A LEED Accredited and DBIA Professional, he is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Design-Build Institute of America, Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, and Alliance for Construction Excellence, and serves on the Industry Advisory board for Arizona State University E. Webb School of Construction and Western Maricopa Education Center HVAC program.
Mike Bolen's Bio
The first non-McCarthy family member to lead the company as its chief executive, Mike Bolen has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. In his current role, Mike directs the company's strategic planning efforts.
Prior to the CEO position, Mike was the company's Pacific Region President and served as executive vice president of operations and senior vice president of construction services. He joined McCarthy's Phoenix office as a carpenter superintendent in 1981 and later was director of operations for McCarthy's parking division.
Ray Sedey's Bio
Ray Sedey currently serves as McCarthy chief executive officer. He joined McCarthy in 2000 as a project engineer and moved through a variety of core operations and leadership positions prior to assuming his current role in 2020. Throughout his career, Ray has taken on new challenges, positively impacting client relationships and business results, and creating strategies to drive change and position McCarthy for long-term success.
Passionate about the workforce of the future, Ray serves as the executive sponsor for McCarthy’s national craft initiative, ensuring that McCarthy builds the foundation to attract, hire, develop and engage the next generation of craft professionals. He is also an active instructor and mentor in McCarthy’s leadership development program and advocate for diversity in the industry, with a focus on encouraging and supporting women in construction careers.
Ray displays great passion and commitment to the construction industry, as well as to the community. He plays an active role through his involvement with the American Heart Association, among others, and is also involved with various industry organizations.
Scott Wittkop's Bio
Scott Wittkop currently serves as the corporate president and chief operating officer for McCarthy, overseeing all operations for the builder's regions and affiliates. In addition to construction operations, he is responsible for all corporate functions including developing new market areas, overseeing employee training, human resources, information technology, risk management, corporate communications and enhancing safety and quality programs.
Scott joined McCarthy as a project engineer in 1986. He has spent the last 26 years moving up through the ranks of the organization, relocating for the company nine times to manage projects around the Central Region. He most recently served as president of the McCarthy Central Region prior to assuming his current role.
Shaun Sleeth's Bio
Shaun Sleeth is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Northern Pacific Region. He has been with McCarthy his entire career, serving in a number of field and leadership positions before assuming his current role.
After graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in construction management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Shaun joined McCarthy’s Southern California Region, serving as a project engineer and project manager. He moved into the role of quality director, earning an “Excellence in Teaming” award from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) for the St. Jude Medical Center Northwest Tower. In 2015 he served as business development director for the firm’s healthcare market in Southern California, and prior to his current role, he served as executive vice president, overseeing McCarthy’s operations throughout the California Central Valley and north into Oregon.

Stefanie Becker's Bio
With more than 30 years of professional industry experience, Stefanie is a registered Architect and a DBIA-certified, award-winning leader that specializes in large, intricate projects built with collaborative delivery methods. As Vice President of Integrated Design Delivery, Stefanie builds and leads McCarthy’s project teams throughout the design phase and into construction. Her passion for bringing a creative approach to all parts of the project process results in deeply collaborative, thoughtful leadership for project teams, design firms, and non-profit boards.
Stefanie has successfully developed and maintained client relationships, pursued and won several high-profile commissions, and managed large, highly technical projects that were long-term, complex endeavors. A skilled facilitator, she brings a collaborative spirit and organizational savvy, as well as an ability to keep complex processes moving forward, even when faced with enormous challenges. Stefanie thrives in developing relationships and connecting the professional community.
Stefanie joined McCarthy in 2015 and has managed a variety of complex projects including the award-winning Knight Cancer Research Building at Oregon Health & Science University. She earned her master’s degree in urban design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and has been active in a number of local organizations including the Architectural Foundation of Oregon and the American Institute of Architects (AIA)’s Portland chapter.

Ann Poppen's Bio
Ann Poppen is the Senior Vice President of Operations in McCarthy’s Northern Pacific region. She serves as the primary point of contact across preconstruction and construction phases of client projects to ensure effective implementation of quality and safety programs, cost control and project close-out.
Since joining the McCarthy team as Project Director in 2018, Ann has been instrumental in helping NorPac win key projects like Stanislaus County’s New Modesto Courthouse and is responsible for overseeing a collaborative integrated CM-at-Risk delivery model. Ann raises the bar for success through her energy, knowledge and people-first attitude.
Ann brings more than 30 years of operational experience in design, planning, preconstruction design phase services and project execution. With extensive expertise in design phase services and operations, Ann has the added understanding of project life cycle considerations. Her people-first approach has helped her lead initiatives like McCarthy’s Director Peer Group. She is LEED AP certified and a member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

Antonya Williams's Bio
Antonya Williams is primarily involved in the preconstruction phase of McCarthy projects, working with project teams and collaborating with the project stakeholders. She brings more than a decade of experience in the construction industry, including nearly eight years of hands-on project management experience in the field and design management experience on design-build projects.
In addition to her responsibilities with McCarthy, Antonya is actively involved with ACE Mentoring, Urban Land Institute, Design Build Institute of America, Alliance for Construction Excellence, New Pathways for Youth, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the National Association of Women in Construction.
Erin Valentine's Bio
Since joining McCarthy in 2001, Erin Valentine has worked closely with the firm’s clients and project teams to develop new solutions to enhance project delivery and consistently deliver exceptional experiences to clients in all markets across McCarthy’s Central Region. As Vice President, Erin leads the building and managing of relationships with clients in the Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Advanced Technology & Manufacturing markets.
Erin is an active advocate for women in the construction industry and serves on the national committee for the McCarthy Partnership for Women employee resource group. She is also actively involved with numerous industry organizations including the St. Louis Forum, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), US Green Building Council, Construction Management Association of America, Associated General Contractors of America and the Design-Build Institute of America.
Paul King's Bio
Paul King is responsible for maintaining client relationships, developing the strategy for project pursuits, building strong project pursuit teams, and seeking out new business opportunities in the San Diego region. He brings nearly 13 years of experience in the construction industry.
In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Paul is a former board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services Orange County and served as a committee member for Design-Build Institute of America Western Region. He also leads McCarthy’s Heart Hats philanthropic focus in San Diego.
