Scope Of Work

The El Super Store in central Phoenix took over the lease of an old Home depot and has well become the anchor of the shopping center. The 100,000 square foot big box was converted into a 66,000 square foot El Super store and two associated retail stores. The store comprised of a large bakery with both a flour and corn tortilla machine, two Hobart ovens a double proofer and three corn tanks with a chip fryer as well. This El Super store includes over 100 feet of meat and seafood counters and also includes full service deli department. The store has over 18,000 square feet of refrigeration and freezer space. Three large loading docks and a receiving area complete with a roll up merchant door makes this a very functional store. This building was completely demolished with the exception of the exterior skin and rebuilt. The interior slabs and all services were changed to accommodate the new state of the art equipment and the heavy electrical loads. The exterior facade was changed drastically to make sure that this did not just look alike a grocery store inside a “home depot box” The exterior improvements greatly enhanced this building and makes it stand out like the anchor it is.

The entire project from start to grand opening was accomplished in a little over 90 days.
