Our Story
In 1984, John Faulkner, President and Founder of Cornerstone Tree Farm, Inc., began the business, under the name, “Faulkner Landscaping,” located in the north Tampa Bay area. After buying two progressively larger properties for nursery use, he purchased a 107-acre farm on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard in Dade City, and named the business “Cornerstone Tree Farm, Inc.”
The corporate offices and main farm location houses the operations and offices of Cornerstone, Champion Growers, Inc., and Cornerstone Hardscapes, Inc., as well as a diverse and thriving plant nursery. Up the road about three miles is the “North Farm,” another property of 14 acres, with a plant nursery and extensive greenhouse operations. In addition to the corporate office in Dade City, Cornerstone has Regional Offices in Jacksonville, Sarasota/Bradenton, and Orlando along with a satellite location in West Palm.
Jacksonville, supporting the greater “First Coast” and East Coast area of Florida, as well as the Florida panhandle, southern Georgia and South Carolina, is well established with a large customer base including accounts for several Fortune 500 companies. The Jacksonville Regional Office also offers a complete Nursery providing both retail and wholesale Nursery products.
The growing Sarasota/Bradenton and Orlando Regional Offices have extended Cornerstone’s ability to build long lasting relationships and deliver its full range of services throughout the southwestern and central portions of the state. This expansion, during a time of sluggish economic activity, has been made possible due to Cornerstone’s financial strength and its commitment to never turning away from its core value that has always placed the customer’s needs first.
