Scope Of Work

This two-story building was meant to be a “highly-visible, attractive, and accessible facility” that would welcome potential students as they approached the campus. The interior consists of light gauge metal framing and gypsum wall board with high-end wall applications including stained red oak wood trim features, stone veneer accents, vinyl wall coverings, acoustical wall panels, wood wall panel system, aluminum composite wall panel system, a translucent glass wall panel system and suspended cherry wood ceilings. High-end casework with granite countertops are found throughout the building along with two extremely ornate wood staircases with decorative handrails. A second story sky-bridge with a pre-engineered full glass railing system and stainless steel hand rails adds to the atmosphere in the entrance space. Every surface of the interior finish-out was designed to capture attention. The mechanical system required Imperial Construction to install a new chill/hot water system and then tie into the University’s existing utility loop. This facility features a full service commercial kitchen, a coffee bar, a 48 seat theater, offices, an elevator, four regular conference rooms and one large 500 person conference room with two accordion folding partitions to separate it into three rooms, and a Hall of Honor. The Hall of Honor is a specifically constructed hallway with a barrel ceiling under a standing seam room that has specially design hook systems to hold banners for alumni and several glass display cases. This hall holds significant meaning and is used to demonstrate the history of the university.
