Established in 1992, Gleeson Powers is a specialty commercial contractor, offering firestopping and other passive fire protection solutions as well as air & vapor barrier, waterproofing, caulking and spray foam insulation. Our services focus thermal and moisture protection - sealing and protecting new and existing buildings from the impact of fire & heat, air, water and sound. We provide professional expertise on new construction and renovation projects for commercial, healthcare, life science, institutional and municipal clients.

Gleeson Powers is an FM (Factory Mutual) 4991 Approved Firestop Contractor and a UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Qualified Firestop Contractor, and is one of the leading single-source contractors specializing in the installation of firestop systems and smokeseal products. We are an ABAA (Air Barrier Association of America) accredited contractor in the application of fluid applied and self-adhered membrane air barrier systems as well as in spray foam insulation applications.

Our team is actively engaged in industry and trade associations such as the FCIA, ASM, AGC, ASHE, NEHES, and HFMADV. Our founder, Aedan Gleeson, was the first president and a founding member of the Firestop Contractors International Association FCIA) . He was instrumental in the development of highly respected third-party accreditation programs for the firestop industry - the Factory Mutual (FM) 4991 and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Qualified Firestop Contractors programs. We have 5 Designated Responsible Individuals (DRIs) on staff, a CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor), Intertek trained and certified fire door inspectors, FIT Level 1 & 2 firestop installers, and a fully trained workforce in each of our specialty trades.

We are also the developers of the Life Safety Tracker System®, a customized fire barrier management software that has helped solidify fire barrier management and documentation as best practice in life safety compliance.
