Gleeson Powers, Inc.

Aedan is the founder of Gleeson Powers, Inc. (GPI). Since forming Gleeson Powers in 1992, Aedan has become a leader in the firestopping industry. As the Firestop Contractors International Association's (FCIA) first President and Charter member, Aedan has been a key contributor to growing this organization to over 300 members, and currently serves on the association's Advisory Board and is the Accreditation Chair, Marketing Chair, and Life Safety Digest Chair. For his unwavering support of the FCIA and continual champion of life safety through firestopping, Aedan is the recipient of the 2017 President Award, the 2013 Advocate of the Year Award and the 2009 Award in Excellence. Aedan started in the U.S. construction market when coming to the U.S. from Dublin in 1990. Under his direction, GPI has become the first firestopping contractor in the country to become an Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) Qualified Firestop Contractor. Aedan has obtained Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for both FM 4991 Approved and UL Qualified Firestop Contactor programs. 

As Gleeson Powers’ Executive Vice President, Aideen is responsible for the organizational development and administration of the company. Since joining in 2004, Aideen has focused on building Gleeson Powers’ infrastructure, combining data-driven decision making and long-term planning with daily business operations. She provides leadership and oversight in the areas of finance and administration as well as marketing and business development. Together with GPI’s President, she is responsible for the strategic direction, vision and overall health of the company. Aideen has a Bachelor's Degree from St. Anselm College and a Master's degree from Boston College, both in Sociology. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Leadership from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

In 2018, Dana took the helm as Gleeson Powers’ President. Since joining GPI in 2000, Dana has been a driving force in growing Gleeson Powers’ presence in the specialty construction market - expanding service offerings into the areas of Air & Vapor Barrier, Waterproofing, Caulking and Spray Foam Insulation, and solidifying Gleeson Powers as the premier Single-Source Firestop Contractor in the Northeast. As Gleeson Powers’ President, Dana provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of GPI’s operations – including business development and client relations, estimating, project management and in-field operations. Together with GPI’s EVP, he guides the strategic direction and vision of Gleeson Powers and is responsible for the overall health of the company. 

Gus is the Vice President of Healthcare & Project Executive for Gleeson Powers. He joined Gleeson Powers in September 2006 and since then has played an important role in developing Gleeson Powers' healthcare offerings, including our fire barrier management program and our customized barrier management software, The Life Safety Tracker System®. Gus has become an expert in understanding the needs of healthcare facilities to remain compliant and meet the life safety requirements of the Joint Commission, CMS and other accrediting agencies. He has obtained his Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for both FM 4991 Approved and UL Qualified Firestop Contractor programs. He is an Intertek Certified Fire & Egress Door Inspector, having completed the DHI (Door and Hardware Institute) Fire and Egress Door Assembly Inspection (FDAI) program. In 2011, Gus obtained the prestigious Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) Certificate offered through the American Healthcare Association (AHA). Prior to joining GPI, Gus studied at Rochester Institute of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering.

Jay joined Gleeson Powers in April 2010 as an Area Vice President for the Mid Atlantic region. Jay has been in the firestopping and mechanical insulation business for over 15 years. He gained his experience in the field as project manager, and then as a Branch Manager. As a Area Vice President for GPI's Mid-Atlantic division, Jay is responsible for estimating, project management, business development and sales. Jay has obtained his Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for the FM 4991 Approval Firestop Contractor program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. His areas of expertise include both healthcare and commercial construction of new and existing projects.

Jeff joined Gleeson Powers as Lead Estimator in September 2010. He currently manages bid estimates and project development for commercial and healthcare projects. Jeff has obtained his Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for the FM 4991 Approved Firestop Contractor program. Prior to joining Gleeson Powers, Jeff studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Matt joined Gleeson Powers as a fire barrier surveyor in 2010 and quickly became an assistant project manager for healthcare facilities. In 2014, he was promoted to Project Manager and currently manages both healthcare and commercial construction projects in the New England area. He has extensive experience in managing projects from start to completion, including project planning and scheduling, cost control, documentation, change order management and customer relations. Before Joining Gleeson Powers, Matt studied at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.

Renea is GPI's Controller & Project Administrator. With 20 years of experience in construction accounting, she manages all invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and project accounting. Other administrative areas include human resources, bonding, and office/field support. Renea has been with Gleeson Powers since 2007 and previously worked in administration at Badd Brothers, Inc. as well as Dean College. Renea has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Stonehill College.
