Patti and Sons provides the security of passive fireproofing.

Patti and Sons has been and is a family owned and operated company for over 55 years. Started by Ernest Patti and his 2 sons Mike and Nick.

For the first 22 years of itd existence, the company only did plastering and was regarded as one of the top plastering contractors in the New York area. As drywall started to dry up the plastering market, Patti and Sons looked for something new to take its place. Spray on fireproofing is similar in nature to spraying plaster, so it was a natural fit.

Patti and Sons is a W R GRACE approved applicator. Our innovations in equipment and application systems are second to none. Since spray on fireproofing is a passive system too many times people don't see the need for the system. Unfortunately, disaster is the price that has to be paid to show the need for our business.

Seven World Trade Center was and is that job. On September 11, 2001, this building caught fire and due to our superior fireproofing, the building burned for 10 to 12 hours allowing all the people in the fully occupied 47-story building to escape. There were no fatalities.

We proudly and with solace finished the Seven World Trade Center building again.
