Our Story

The growth of the Wanasek Corporation is a story of foresight and adjustment to the times. From its inception as a blacksmith shop, through its success as a welding and emergency repair business, and final evolvement into an excavation corporation, the company is a reflection of the Wanasek family’s recognition of the needs of Southeast Wisconsin and the shaping of a company to meet those needs.

Beginning with a single tractor backhoe purchased to dig a sewer lateral for his own home in 1949, Louis Wanasek began digging for others. James Wanasek continued to build on his father’s success and has directed the company’s growth into one of the most recognized and respected excavating contractors in Southeast Wisconsin. John followed in the footsteps of his forefathers to carry on the tradition. John has cultivated great relationships, and built a team of employees that serve our clients with pride. John has served as President of The Wanasek Corporation since 2007.

John Wanasek directs the corporation which handles all types of excavation at the highest level of efficiency and dependability. Truly, the result of hard work and adaptation to customers needs.
