McDonald Excavating, Inc. was founded by Mike McDonald in 1980 as a demolition and excavation firm in Washougal, Washington. Since then, our company has distinguished itself as one of the area's most capable excavation and site development contractors. We specialize in site work, including earthwork, grading, and underground utilities, for residential subdivision development as well as for large commercial building projects.  

McDonald Excavating, Inc. is a certified DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) and MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) in several different SIC, NAICS, and NIGP classifications, which include both our construction operations as well as our machine and job shop. With the addition of key personnel who have experience in projects ranging from $2,000 to over $20 million, and everything in between, we have the capability to provide an even wider array of services.
