Scope Of Work
The reconstruction of the RT-128 median in Newton, Wellsley, & Newton involved converting the grassed median into a paved surface. Having soil with unacceptable concentrations of heavy metals, Prime was responsible for overseeing the disposal of aproximatly 23,000 tons of contaminated soil. This project included the preparation of a Health and Safety Plan, subsurface investigation, the oversight of TCLP fixation activities, and the coordination with multiple solid waste facilities. The work for this project occured mostly at night and was successfully completed in 2009.
