Our Story
Brown Electric, Inc is a woman based enterprise and was incorporated in the State of Maryland on May 20th 1980. Our office is located 17450 Indian Head Highway Suite 100 Accokeek, MD 20607. We maintain an estimating and contracting staff that exceeds over 75 years combined experience in industrial, commercial and governmental contracting. We employ an average of 65 qualified electricians and apprentices. Our financial records are maintained by the firm of Source One Business Services, while our insurance needs are met by Erie Insurance Group. Centennial Surety Associates is our bonding insurance firm with whom we have a bonding capacity of $4.5 to $10 million.
Brown Electric, Inc. contracts and performs electrical services incidental to the construction industry which includes low and medium voltage applications. We subsequently maintain electrical licenses in the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC and Virginia.
Brown Electric, Inc. can meet the requirements of any electrical contract totaling $7,000,000.00 or more, as our firm has the employees with the electrical capabilities, experience and skills necessary to perform all phases of electrical work. Our staff includes three active Masters. Brown Electric, Inc. also has the financial ability required to support the contracts and perform work within time limit requirements.
