Niel Dawson has been with the IEC for over 20 years and brings with him over 35 years of non-profit administrative experience in a wide variety of trade, social and educational organizations. With a BS in Human Relations and a Master’s in Education, with a specialty in Human Services Development from Illinois State University, his education fits uniquely with IEC’s mission. Coming from a family-owned small business he understands the wide ranging issues contractors must face and is able to blend that with his desire to work with individuals that are trying to improve their business and personal development. Niel has severed on numerous National Boards and committees as well as local charitable and trade organizations. He has written and published numerous articles and spoken to both local and national groups on a variety of topics. Additionally, he has received repeated awards at the local and national levels for his service to the industry.

Todd Hawkins has been with IEC since2002, connecting people to the jobs and education that prepare them for a rewarding career in electrical construction. Todd has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia and is currently credentialed as a Certified Association Executive (CAE). Todd especially enjoys giving IEC members access to the information that helps them promote their business and advocate for better jobs, careers and certifications.

Marie Thornton has worked with IEC since 2011 as a marketing and communications representative. She has a B.A. in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University and a M.B.A with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. With over 18 years’ experience in marketing, and a passion for sharing the best of IEC, Marie thrives on company communications. IEC newsletters, press releases, social media, upcoming classes and more, are products of her efforts to make certain the IEC’s brand is seen and connected to its audience.
