Our Story

Woman owned and operated demolition and environmental remediation specialty contractor.  Since 1962, O’Rourke Wrecking Company has offered turnkey demolition and hazardous material abatement services to our clients throughout the North American market. We specialize in all types of Demolition (structural, selective, interior, dismantlement/deconstruction, implosion, salvage, emergency response), Abatement (asbestos, lead & mold) and Environmental Remediation (UST removal, contaminated soil, etc) . O’ROURKE performs other services that may arise during the site preparation phase of a project such as asset recovery, recycling, excavation, rigging, shoring, general carpentry, painting, electrical and site cleaning.

When O’ROURKE joins your team you have engaged a Demolition Specialty Contractor that understands how to meet the challenges of your project. We will develop a site specific safety and work plan and communicate it to our very talented and experienced field personnel. Our crew will then execute the plan and deliver on the commitments that were made to our client. Clearly, our most important resource is our field personnel. Each O’ROURKE Superintendent must have a minimum of 10 years experience. The majority of them have 20 years and longer. By selecting O’ROURKE you will have a single point of contact giving you more control over your project and eliminating any duplication of effort when dealing with multiple contractors. The safety of client, our employees, and the general public remain our utmost concern and nothing demonstrates that better than our safety record. Our EMR rating is 0.47.

O’ROURKE is ranked by Engineering News Record (ENR) in the Top 10 as one of the nation’s leading specialty demolition contractors. We have earned a reputation for superior performance and have an unparalleled, proven track record of successfully completing projects safely, on budget and ahead of schedule.
