Brady Castro's Bio
Brady Castro is the President and CEO of PRO EM Party & Event Rentals. He is responsible for the guiding the execution of PRO EM’s short-term and long-term objectives in Operations and Business Development while focusing on the Company’s expansion into regional and national events and markets.
His career in special events began while attending Southern Illinois University –Carbondale working concerts and basketball games at the SIU Arena as well as working as a banquet captain at the Holiday Inn. In 1998 he moved to Arizona to pursue a career in law enforcement. During the extensive testing process, he worked part-time doing event parking and Security for PRO EM (Professional Event Management), a Tempe-based event management company. Brady was offered a full-time position at PRO EM in 1999 and was eventually promoted to event supervisor, director of security and then outside sales.
He was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Operations in 2003 and was instrumental in guiding the Company’s strategic vision and expansion into other markets and services resulting in a 200% increase in annual revenue during his tenure.
In March of 2006, Brady resigned from PRO EM to join the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee as Vice President of Operations & Logistics for Super Bowl XLII. He was responsible for the local planning effort relative to relative to public safety, stadium operations, transportation and parking, aviation, medical and credentialing.
He returned to PRO EM in 2008 as Vice President of Operations following the sale of the parent company, Gorilla Companies, and subsequent merger with Phoenix-based Ultimate Event Services.
In 2011 Brady was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In October of 2016 following the recapitalization of PRO EM by Dos Rios Partners of Austin, TX, Brady was promoted to President and CEO.
During his professional career he has been fortunate to work on projects including Arizona State University Sun Devil Athletics, the Chicago Cubs Spring Training, the Waste Management Phoenix Open (PGA), 2012 Solheim Cup (LPGA), Super Bowl XLII, the 2006 and 2010 NCAA BCS National Championships, The Tostito’s Fiesta Bowl, Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, the 2010 Winter Olympics, 2011 MLB All-Star Game, 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend, Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night as well as events with Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barrack Obama.
Brady is a native of Rockton, Illinois, and an avid sports fan. He enjoys hiking, golfing, cooking, reading and traveling. He has served on the Board of Directors of Ryan House, a pediatric palliative care center in Phoenix as well as Committee Chair for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona Golf Classic and Wish Ball, volunteer for the American Heart Association, Special Olympics, and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Brady has been a guest speaker on Ed Smiths “EZ Sports Talk” radio show, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation and guest lecturer at Northwestern University and Arizona State University.
Michael Kasen's Bio
Michael Kasen is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for PRO EM Party & Event Rentals. Michael has more than 25 years of comprehensive finance and accounting experience from leading public and private companies in manufacturing, hospitality, gaming, and retail industries.
Michael began his professional career as a controller with Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1985. Throughout his career, Michael has managed and improved profitability of multiple companies and has successfully opened a $1.3B resort/casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Prior to joining the PRO EM team in December 2013, Michael served as the Vice President of Finance for Spielo International USA, an electronic gaming devise manufacturer.
Michael is a trusted contributor and business partner with excellent leadership and intrapersonal skills. His analytical mind and diverse operational and technical business acumen are valuable assets for PRO EM.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA in Finance from the prestigious Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Shane Shirmers's Bio
Shane A. Stirmers is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PRO EM Party & Event Rentals a position he has held since December 2016. He is responsible for customer satisfaction, employee morale, delivering on the short term and long term strategies and meeting the objectives and goals of the organization.
Shane has 18 years of experience in finance and operations in many industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Chemicals, Semiconductors, Medical Devices, Cell Phone Towers, Financial Consulting, Operational Consulting, and Apparel. Shane has led many system integrations, acquisition teams, process improvement teams and product pipeline management teams at various organizations including Honeywell, Freescale, CR Bard, Elio Motors, Crown Castle, and Entegris. Shane has led factories from failing to best in class, companies from DOS based system data paralysis to SAP, Oracle and JDE, as well as managing the pressures of acquisition details without losing sight to the long-term goals of the organization. Shane has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration from the W.P Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
In addition to serving as COO at Proem, Shane also serves as CFO and co-owner of Rank Bull Apparel, an apparel company that serves the western wear apparel industry. Rank Bull has been sold in over 75 Lids locations and over 200 owner operated western wear stores.
In his spare time, Shane is a vocalist in a local band, runs 1⁄2 marathons, injures himself regularly playing soccer and has been to more music festivals than all but a handful of people. He also realizes the danger of claiming to run 1⁄2 marathons in his bio, but has decided that his wife of 8 years and his three children would really appreciate that he remain healthy by continuing to run them.
Operations
Tony Wetjen's Bio
Tony Wetjen is the Vice President of Operations for PRO EM Party & Event Rentals. Tony has worked in the event industry for more than 16 years in multiple capacities.
In 1999, Tony served as a human resources manager in the front office of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns. In 2005, he was hired by BrightSpot Media to create the company policies and procedures and lead the HR function for the newly created software advertising company.
In 2008, Tony joined PRO EM as Director of Human Resources at the same time as PRO EM’s parent holding company was executing a merger and acquisition with Ultimate Event Services. Tony played a vital role in helping to successfully merge 11 separate LLC’s into the current PRO EM entity. In 2010, Tony was promoted to General Manager of PRO EM’s Denver location. A year later, Tony returned to PRO EM’s corporate headquarters in Phoenix in the role of Director of Operations. In 2014, Tony was promoted to his current role of Vice President of Operations.
During his professional career Tony has worked many high profile events including ASU Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, MLB All-Star game, 2001 World Series, Phoenix Suns, NBA All-Star game, Waste Management Phoenix Open, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament, Russo & Steele, Barrett-Jackson, NASCAR, Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, 2010 BCS National Championship Game and numerous presidential events for Presidents Bush, Clinton and Obama.
Tony is a native of Iowa and loves sports and spending time on the water. Tony is married to his wife Ashley and they have 3 children; Colin, Graye and Beau. Tony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Victoria “Tora” Reiner's Bio
Victoria “Tora” Reiner is the Vice President of Administration and Quality Assurance for PRO EM Party & Event Rentals. Tora joined the PRO EM team in January 2007 and wears many hats for the company as she directs the human resources team, the information technology team, and the legal and facilities functions across PRO EM’s multi-state companies. Tora’s responsibilities also include PRO EM’s sustainability programs, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and customer satisfaction
Prior to joining PRO EM, Tora served as a Program Coordinator for the World Affairs Council of Arizona, where she was responsible for developing and establishing professional networking contacts, appointments and comprehensive schedules for international visitors from USIA. During her tenure with the World Affairs Council, Tora managed the planning and execution of Council functions, including scheduling, promotion and interaction with outside vendors/service providers.
The former owner and operator of Concepts Skincare & Makeup Center, Tora lead all aspects of the business, including accounting, human resources, marketing, training, computer systems and clinical functions for application of permanent makeup.
Tora holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, where she also played college basketball for the Lady Vikings.
