Scope Of Work
The County of Victoria, Texas replaced their existing underground fuel storage and refueler loading facility with a new aboveground Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. Argus provided the engineering design and construction follow on services for the construction of a 20,000 gallon Jet-A tank and a 12,000 gallon Avgas tank. Both tanks were provided with pre-manufactured pump and filtration skids which were used to unload the transport delivery trucks and load the FBO’s refueler vehicles. In addition, the Avgas tank was provided with a dispensing skid to allow the unattended self service dispensing of Avgas. The dispensing skid included a credit card reader, hose reel and dispenser. Containment was provided for the fueling operations and all stormwater run-off was collected in a concrete containment basin prior to discharge into the storm water system. This project used the TXDOT fueling standards as developed by Argus as the basis of design. This design was site adapted to Victoria and modified to incorporate both bulk loading and dispensing on the Avgas system.
