Governor’s Academy is an open, optimistic learning community filled with life-changing opportunities. As the oldest boarding school in New England, it is not surprising that Governor’s Academy’s campus in Byfield, Mass. would require some renovations. When Governor’s Academy decided to invest in better serving its students via the construction of a field house addition and a renovation to an existing gymnasium, Connolly Brothers was ready to deliver value.
Providing pre-construction and construction management services, Connolly developed and then implemented extensive value-engineering concepts in order to bring the construction project into line with the school’s budget without sacrificing key project requirements. Connolly also collaborated with The Architects Collaborative on the 40,000 square-foot facility, which provides high-quality sports and fitness spaces to the school’s student athletes.
