Scope Of Work
The 300,000 square foot Terminal B Airside Concourse at the Sacramento International Airport includes a 19-gate passenger concourse with an international arrivals facility, and features a curved, stainless steel roof, exposed structural steel and wood ceilings, stainless steel column covers, terrazzo flooring, and clerestory windows for daylighting.
In addition to interior and cosmetic upgrades, the project included build-out of office space for building and airline support services, as well as an added taxiway and apron, a tug tunnel, and an automated people mover guideway structure.
Sustainable building practices were a top priority for the LEED Silver certified project. Sustainable features include an abundance of natural lighting, which included shading and reflection features to control the heat. Also, multiple recycled materials were utilized including steel, flooring from recycled building materials, and additional salvaged materials from area demolition.
