More About America's Phone Guys:

America's Phone Guys started out selling business phone equipment in 2001. We have evolved to mostly VoIP (that's Voice over Internet Protocol) hosted phones and phone service as well as UCaaS and CCaaS. We still sell hybrid telephone systems that can be fully digital or use VoIP. VoIP offers flexibility and fantastic features, but it isn't a fit for every business. Just because you tried Ooma Office or Ring Central and had a bad experience doesn't mean VoIP can't work for you. You may need someone local and more experienced to help you with it. 

The advantages to VoIP are things like saving money on your monthly phone service (think Comcast/CenturyLink/Spectrum etc., only better, more flexible, and for less), being able to easily redirect your calls in the event of an Internet or power outage, having more control of your communications, and saving money on equipment. Plus, VoIP is one of the easiest and best solutions for remote working staff, and really great when you implement a hybrid working model where people work remotely a couple of days a week.

Most of our clients are small to mid-sized businesses with between three and 300 phones. We also work with and for Property Management Companies in the Portland and Vancouver Metro areas.  We work with clients who need between 3 and 500 phone lines, whether these are all at one office or multiple locations. If we don't have the right solution for your company, we will let you know your best options, even if they aren't options we can provide. If we can't help, we likely know of a company that can.

Why doesn't everyone go with VoIP? Those without steady Internet connections can be frustrated by it, and some who are used to traditional phones and how they work can find VoIP phones challenging. We have solutions to keep your Internet steady and can work with your Internet Service Provider to alleviate issues if that is ever needed. You can still use VoIP phone lines with a more traditional phone system, that form of VoIP is called SIP trunking. Additionally, most companies are already using VoIP without knowing it. Copper lines no longer have to be maintained as of 2022, and most carriers already are only selling VoIP; they just aren't calling it that.

Our office has helpful, friendly people ready to take your calls and do their best to help. Our Office Manager will most frequently take your calls and connect you to the answers you need. They handle nearly everything you might need, coordinate VoIP Phone Service for new customers, and help with the phone number porting process. We are currently searching for a new Customer Service Advocate.  This person will handle many of our administrative functions and dispatch service orders that come in through our web portal and email, as well as call to check in on existing clients periodically.

America’s Phone Guys sell many of today’s top-rated business telephone equipment. Our main product lines have been Panasonic, Allworx, and keeping old Avaya Partner and Toshiba systems going for a while now. We’re also selling several VoIP, SIP, and Hosted solutions from Polycom, Cisco, Snom, Yealink, Panasonic, and Zultys. And if you need an inexpensive VoIP Phone Service option, we can provide that too. We’ve also sold Vodavi (aka Vertical), Samsung, and NEC DSX systems. We do provide service to customers with those systems as well. If we haven’t listed your system type, it doesn't mean we can’t work on it; there are far too many brands and models to list, so if you don’t see your particular brand, call us! If we can’t help you, we will provide the phone number of a company that can.

Our service area covers most points in the Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington region. We cover from Hillsboro to Troutdale, down through Wilsonville and Longview, including most points in between. If we can’t service your area, we will do our best to help you find a company that can. We also service the coast (Astoria, Warrenton, Long Beach, etc…) nowadays. Customers in those areas seem to have difficulty finding reliable telecommunications contractors, so we do what we can for them. As most systems can be supported remotely now, service continues to become more accessible and more reasonable for companies that may not be right in our backyard.

Nearly all the systems we install these days can be programmed remotely. That saves our customers money and time. Rates for remote service work are subject to a 1/2-hour minimum only, and of course, there are no trip charges. Most on-site work is subject to a one-hour minimum and a trip charge that depends on your location. Emergency and Before or After-hours service work is subject to a 2-hour minimum. 

Are you interested in knowing which VoIP carriers we utilize? We've found we can meet most of what our customers are looking for and do so reliably with fair pricing and excellent customer support. We also have our own APG VoIP service and work with Nextiva, GoTo (formerly known as Jive and LogMeIn), Net2Phone, and 8x8. We've tried several other carriers in the past and know a little something about most. We had our own terrible experience with Vonage way back in the earliest days of VoIP and learned the hard way what to do and what not to do. We've also converted many customers from Ring Central, Vonage, and Ooma Office when those weren't working well. Even though those customers started being worried VoIP wouldn't work for them, we've convinced them by providing reliable service. We've been through almost everything with VoIP and are ready to get you started and benefit from all our learning experiences.
