Our Story

B.W. CONSTRUCTION INC. is owned and operated by Wiecho (Wesley) Posadowski. Except for a stint in the Army, he has been a contractor his entire adult life and he is the real deal. He has built homes (including his own) from the foundation up. Besides masonry, he is extremely competent and experienced in every phase of building construction and repair, tuckpointinglintel replacement and roofing to complex restoration projects. Wesley and his team have completed more than a thousand Chicago projects of just about any type imaginable. We DO NOT SUB-CONTRACT work. ALL JOBS are performed by Wesley and his various crews. On the rare occasions when he can not be present, an experienced PROJECT MANAGER is ALWAYS ON SITE. Safety always comes first on our project sites and we strictly conform to all OSHA standards. Wesley's many years of success as a Chicago area contractor is due to a very basic philosophy- When he works on a property, no matter what type it is, he treats it as though he owns it, with great ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

Pricing

Any way you approach it, CONTRACTORS are fairly expensive. WE UNDERSTAND that MONEY doesn’t grow on trees.(We wish it did just as much as you do!) Everyone has to live, everyone has a right to be paid, BUT- Companies that employ numerous staff personnel: Secretaries, accountants, assistants, salesmen, ETC... Must naturally charge very high prices for their work in order to meet their payrolls- A simple fact of business and life.

Here at B.W. Construction, we operate on a basic concept-Besides our crews, we employ only key personnel and keep our operating costs as low as possible, thereby we can price our work REASONABLY and our clients pay WHAT THE JOB IS WORTH and not a dollar more. We spend most of our time on job sites, not in the office. We’ve found this method to be extremely effective for our customers and ourselves.

Guarantees

Another one of the most misunderstood concepts in our industry. If you’ve ever contracted for any work, you’ll know that guarantees and warranties vary as drastically as prices do. Depending on the type of job, they can last from one year to a lifetime and anywhere in-between. There’s an old saying and it’s absolutely true: “A GUARANTEE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PERSON WHO GIVES IT.”

Another old but very true saying: “AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION IS WORTH A POUND OF CURE” For EVERY RESIDENTIAL PROJECT that we take on, we offer a 10 YEAR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE INSPECTION at NO EXTRA CHARGE. We employ an extremely experienced JOB INSPECTOR. Their only job is to check our completed projects every year. This way, on the rare occasion when we feel that there is a condition that could potentially be a problem down the road, we ADDRESS AND CORRECT IT before it can become something major. Because of this technique, we are able to offer THE LONGEST AND MOST COMPREHENSIVE GUARANTEES IN THE BUSINESS- OFTEN TWICE AS LONG AS MOST COMPETITORS.

For larger, multi-unit, commercial and industrial projects, we’ve even taken it a step further: We offer, for a reasonable fee, AN EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACT. This can include only certain components to a structure i.e.Masonry, Roofing, Walkways,ETC... or the ENTIRE STRUCTURE. This way, if there is work or maintenance to be performed, it eliminates the time and expense of collecting multiple bids and conflicting opinions on repairs, while ELIMINATING additional inspection or bid fees. To put it plainly: OUR CLIENTS HAVE A RELIABLE CONTRACTOR FOR AS LONG AS THEY PREFER.

We take real pride in whatever we do and we welcome the opportunity to prove ourselves to you. We offer honest, reliable service at fair rates from estimate through completion.
