Our Story

Company Overview

Chetaud Pro Builders was founded in 1999 by Ryan Chetaud. Since then the company has grown from small residential projects to a full-fledged construction company with a portfolio of exquisitely designed and built structures ranging from custom homes up-to-and-over 15,000 sq.ft to commercial spaces, renovations, and more!

Over the years CPB has built up relationships with many of the best talent in the area, from engineers, financiers, architects, craftsmen, and more. Our team and highly skilled network of tradesmen means faster project completion, more thorough design and review process, and a better value for your investment.

Family Business

Ryan's Father, Lou Chetaud, attended San Jose State University, graduating with a Bachelors of Sciences in Business Management. After graduation, Lou spent the subsequent twenty years in executive management in the high-tech industry, working for companies such as Fairchild, National Semiconductor, and Cypress Semiconductor both in Silicon Valley, as well as overseas in Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.

While his employment experience has been primarily in high-tech industries, Lou’s interest has always been in residential construction; he had already built two custom homes for his family in Los Gatos and Santa Cruz, California. In 1999, once Lou noticed what Ryan was capable of building, he made the decision to leave the high-tech world, and obtained his contractors license in home building and remodeling in order to supporting his son.

Lou Chetaud has since then left the team at Chetaud Pro Builders, with a peace of mind, knowing that the everything would be well taken care of under Ryans supervision.

Construction Crew Leader

Ryan Chetaud grew up in Santa Cruz, California where he began his apprenticeship for the Holcomb Construction, a well-known local company. It was during this time hat he discovered his innate talent and passion for construction. Over the years, Ryan has sought out the best mentors in the trade in order to learn and master every aspect of constructing homes and remodels.

With his outstanding knowledge of structural ingenuity and architectural design, Ryan brings special proficiency to the conceptualization and actualization of each project.

He possess a passion for creating custom homes, commercial projects and remodeling projects that exceed client expectations.
