Scope Of Work

Allentown School District undertakes an important modular classroom building project as they continue to experience significant urban growth, that is putting pressure on the school system’s infrastructure. Overcrowding of classroom buildings is requiring district officials to add space so they can accommodate the increase in student population. Ritter Elementary has been the recipient of the district’s most recent classroom expansion project by receiving 9,000 square feet of new modular constructed classrooms. Each of the 10 spacious climate controlled modular classrooms is 30’x30′ providing a welcome learning environment for both the students and faculty.

The building’s exterior is clad with maintenance free low-rib steel, providing lasting durability.

Handicap accessible ramps accompanied by code compliant steps and decking are all aluminum.  The aluminum access systems are both attractive and maintenance free.

Recessed exterior double doors provide students and faculty protection from weather in addition to other benefits.

One end of the building has a site-constructed canopy designed to protected students from poor weather conditions.

Many schools are leasing and purchase large classroom complexes, such as this 9,000 square foot modular classroom building, versus acquiring multiple double-wide classrooms for several reasons: safety & security, energy efficiency, student and faculty protection from weather, and cost effectiveness.
