C.C. Supply

Thousands of ladder related injuries have been avoided since the 1960s when the Tony Crookston Family, owners of C.C. Supply, introduced to the industry their new idea of Roof Top Shingle Delivery, or RTD. Since then, the family has improved RTD service with the inventions of the EASY WALK conveyor, and the FLAT STACKER ridge device.

The resourcefulness of the Tony Crookston family is legendary. The family has ten U.S. Patents for roofing materials and equipment, including the telescoping conveyor.

C.C. Supply serves Building, Remodeling, Siding, Decking, Guttering, and Roofing Contractors. We also serve Replacement Door and Window Contractors, and property owners. Our separate affiliated company named Country Club Cabinetry provides fine kitchens and cabinetry for home and office. 

Tony Crookston, founder of C.C. Supply began his storied career in the construction industry as a youngster in the 1920's. He helped his father on construction sites on Akron's North Hill. The great Depression of the 1930's interrupted the construction industry and Tony's career. Then came marriage to Rita Emma Weigand in 1941, service to our country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and then a family: seven daughters and six sons.

After World War II Tony returned to the industry, again working with his father in New Jersey and in White Plains, New York. Tony and his dad, Anthony Sr., commanded much respect from building contractors who appreciated their integrity, roofing workmanship, and their ingenuity.

After Anthony Sr. retired from roofing in the late 1940's to start his tool company, Tony continued the family roofing tradition in the 1950's and 60's in New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ohio. Then in the late 1960's, Tony invested in the New Methods Building Supply Co. in Toledo, Ohio where he learned about the distribution business.

After a relatively short stay in Toledo, Tony returned his focus to the Akron area where he founded C.C. Supply in Barberton, a suburb of Akron, in the early 70's.

Tony and Rita built their business on innovation and the rock-bed of their family. All of their thirteen children, 7 daughters and 6 sons, worked in the family business at one time or another. Tony taught each of his children about the dignity of life and the honor of hard work. Tony's family lives these principles and their Christian beliefs daily, by respecting all others and by thanking the Lord for His many blessings.

Today, C.C. Supply is owned and operated by 4 sons of Tony and Rita. C.C. Supply is still a "Tony Crookston Family Enterprise."
