Commonwealth Painting & Decorating, Inc. founded in 1980 by Lewis M. Gara and Michael L. Mason, is a class A licensed painting company.  Since forming in 1980, we have enhanced some of the finest homes with custom painting. Our extensive backgrounds in painting have given us a solid foundation of experience and knowledge to guarantee quality painting. Today, our company proudly offers a wide range of services in Richmond and all surrounding areas in central and eastern Virginia.

Our new construction painting systems include the most thorough preparation methods used today which include sanding, filling, and caulking to insure the highest quality finishes. We also specialize in blending and toning stains and sealers for “furniture-like” finishes on trim wood.

In our repaint department we specialize in “upgrading” your present paint job to our high standards, as well as taking care to insure that, as the homeowner, you are always confident and comfortable with us in your home.
