Scope Of Work
Colantonio restored and repurposed this 60,800 square foot building in downtown Fitchburg for Twin Cities Community Development Corporation.
This former commercial bank building, designed by HM Francis, is a six-story, above-grade, brick façade building. Colantonio preserved historical architectural appointments including tin ceilings, interior and exterior brick walls, wooden floors, wainscoting, trim, doors and in-laid ceramic fireplaces. Our repairs to the existing brick facade were inspected and tested to ensure they were an accurate match. We also replaced the existing two elevators, stairways and core while the building was still occupied by a branch of TD BankNorth.
The building, designed by Horn + Johnson / StepOne Architects, hosts 31 new 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments, common space for the tenants and office space for the CDC and the tenant management company.
