Scope Of Work
The Capital Results project is in the old Lucky Strike Maintenance Garage where Lucky Strike serviced their delivery trucks in the 30's and 40's. The structure had not been kept up over the years and was full of weeds and bird droppings, the oil pit was full of oil, and the roof was partially caved in. After thorough clean-up and demo, many of the original features were included in the current design: large overhead doors were repainted and used as dividing walls, four large skylights were reflashed and reglazed to provide natural light, some grafitti was maintained as "artwork", and original steel entrance doors were repaired and reglazed. The 6,100 sf building was nominated for GRACRE's STARS Award as Best Historic Rehabilitation. Repeat client: BAM Architects.
Advantages to Capital Results: Emerald was able to meet both the budget and the schedule in this complex and unique historical project. Emerald's ability to see the creative team's vision throughout the construction process was critical in making this project a reality.
