Scope Of Work
This completed project provided the replacement of a 2-bank, 6-piece transformer system that was aging 50+ years.
This included removal of the existing 2.5MVA transformer banks (2), voltage regulators, and associated bus-work and replace with transformers. Also conduct concrete repairs on the existing tower footings in Area 45 at Naval Radio Station Jim Creek.
The design-build contract required system design to integrate the dual-redundant backup system with the existing diesel generator. This power grid powered both a top-secret installation as well as the rest of the naval base.
