Scope Of Work
This design-build armory facility consisted of the construction of a one-story building. Associated with the armory is a large exterior metal canopy structure with lighting for weapons cleaning area. The building was constructed of reinforced concrete unit masonry (CMU) on spread footing foundations, reinforced concrete slab and floors, structural steel framing, concrete ceiling, and standing seam metal roof.
This building provided space for the storage and maintenance of small arms and emergency gear as well as administrative spaces, classrooms, and support functions which included IDS system, NIPRNet, Telecommunication, Mechanical Room, Electrical Room, restroom, showers, and lockers. The shell of the building is constructed of reinforced concrete unit masonry (CMU) on a spread footing foundation.
The floor is a reinforced concrete slab, the ceiling is constructed of a pre-cast concrete plank system topped with reinforcing steel, 3000 psi concrete, covered with light gauge framing and standing seam metal roof. For security, the interstitial space above the planking system has no access; in addition, all wall and ceiling penetrations for return, exhaust and make-up air were installed with burglar bars.
