Mark Buckley's Bio
Mark has over 30 years of experience in commercial lines insurance. He attained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1990 and focuses on customizing insurance plans for businesses of all sizes. Mark also serves as the agency’s bonding specialist, demonstrating the level of knowledge and expertise required in this unique marketplace.
A graduate of Purdue University in 1980, Mark began his career of helping others as a Peace Corp Volunteer in Honduras. He has returned many times since then, serving as a translator for a local medical brigade. Mark is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey as well as the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
In his spare time, Mark can usually be found in the great outdoors, spending time with his family. He’s an avid snowboarder and hiker. His true love is sailing where he competes locally, cruises around Annapolis, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and the blue water in between.
Robert Aitkens's Bio
Bob began his career in the local hotel business. For over a decade, he managed area hotels, learning all facets of the industry. His attention to client service was a trait that would serve him well when he began as a commercial lines producer with the Captain’s Agency in 1988. Five years later, Bob would purchase the agency from his father in law, Richard (Dick) Hubbs and, after merging with the McCue Agency in 1997, created the agency as it is known today. McCue Captains Agency has grown 500% and is well respected in both the state and local communities.
Bob currently sits on the agent advisory boards for Liberty Mutual, Selective Insurance and Plymouth Rock Assurance Company, along with an advisory board position with the Two River Community Bank. Bob has served as a board member and President on the Monmouth County Independent Insurance Agents since 1989, as well as the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey since 2005. He has been the New Jersey Chairman for Trusted Choice, a national branding initiative for the Independent Insurance Agents of America, since 2009. Trusted Choice promotes the use of the independent agent as the smartest and most effective way to buy insurance. Unlike the direct writers (Geico, NJ Manufacturers) or captive agents (State Farm, Allstate), Trusted Choice agents have the ability to work with different insurance carriers, representing a variety of different products and programs. This allows an independent agent to cater a specific insurance plan to best suit your individual needs.
On a personal note, Bob and his wife Patty have two great kids, Brian and Kate. Brian is the Benefits Manager at the agency. Bob is an avid golfer (though not as good as Eric) and enjoys the insurance business and traveling. He lives near the Jersey Shore and spends all of his summers at the beach with his family.

Eric Mead's Bio
Eric Mead graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business. His career started with The Hartford and continued on with Ohio Casualty and American Reliance as a commercial underwriting manager. Eric is a partner in the firm and has been with McCue since 1996. His focus is commercial lines, carrier relations, agency operations, and personnel.
Eric strongly supports the “business” engagement of high school students prior to entering college and selecting a major. He is the founding Chairman of the Business and Finance Academy at Wall High School. The Academy provides a core curriculum combined with an internship offered through area businesses, in addition to normal high school curriculum. This has proven a valuable tool and experience for the Academy students in their college, major and career choices.
In his free time, you will see Eric and his wife at various colleges watching their daughter play field hockey, possibly with their two sons and pug at their side. Eric still plays basketball three times a week (barring injury) and is a fairly decent golfer, if the temperature is just right.
