Scope Of Work

This city-wide initiative involves the design and construction of a 95,000 sf community center and outdoor pool located in the Solon Community Park. The facility is designed with three "wings" surrounding a central core where the main entrance serves as a "hub" of activity and gathering space. A climbing wall serves as the focal point of this dramatic two story space, and is overlooked by the fitness center and work out rooms from a second story balcony.  The complex contains a gymnasium with basketball courts and an elevated running track that intertwines its way though the building. 

The facility includes a substantial aquatics center. An indoor pool facility, including a water play area, a fully accessible zero-entry pool entrance and "lazy river" link to an expansive outdoor pool complex. The outdoor pool area includes patios, waterslides and picnic areas, making this a true family amenity. The Solon Community and Recreation Center has programming for all residents, and it represents its multi-generational community with a senior center, a teen center and community meeting areas. The center's design, combining a variety of activity spaces in a community park results in a connected "civic campus".
