Our Story

Rising from the sale of Invensys Building Systems direct sales offices to T.A.C. in 2002, Precision Control Systems of Chicago has continued to improve upon the long traditional of consultative temperature control and security solutions our customers have relied upon since 1929.  Representing some of the highest quality solutions in the industry from Schneider Electric, Pelco, Aiphone and Precision Edge Access Control, customers from United Airlines, Sears, Navy Pier, The Federal Reserve Bank, Chicago Public Schools, many private firms and public entities have relied upon Precision Control to not simply install components and service systems, but work hand-in-hand to develop long term plans and strategies that keep their facilities comfortable, secure and up to date.

Avoiding predictable answers to obvious problems has been the key structure William Gushurst has imparted on the staff at Precision Control.  Bill’s lifelong experience in the building control and security industry has guided Precision Control from the very beginning, creating a corporation that enjoys a 97+% customer retention rate, even in the most challenging of economies.  By extending his passion for doing what is right over time above doing what is profitable for today, Precision has weathered the economic storms of yesterday and continues to grow towards tomorrow.

Whether it’s reducing liability and risk at park district facilities in the suburbs of Chicago, updating 100 year old Chicago Public Schools to meet today’s Green initiatives, monitoring water flow rates and fresh air along Illinois’ tollway system or ensuring consistent, reliable, comfort in downtown high rises customers have come to rely upon the expertise and forward thinking team at Precision Control to ease their daily challenges, allowing them to focus on business, not buildings.
