Our Story
For more than 50 years Detection Systems and Engineering, Inc (DSE) has been providing integrated security solutions to commercial and industrial clients across the Midwest. The company was founded in July 1967 in Royal Oak, Michigan by Jarvis Williams, who was not only an entrepreneur but an inventor of leading edge camera technologies that are patented. These products included early generation color and day/night “Hi-Sens” & Intensified Cameras. The products were marketed through a dealer network across the world.
Detection Systems and Engineering is a financially strong company, having never relied on bank loans to operate any phase of its operations.
