Scope Of Work
The SOF C-130 Washrack Hangar is a 30,000 square foot indoor washrack facility for periodic scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for military aircraft up to the size of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules. The project also included 35,000 square feet of concrete airfield apron pavement and unique systems, including foam guns, high pressure washrack detergent system, oil/water separator, boiler for aircraft washing, compressed air and an overhead monorail.
The project scope of work included reinforced concrete footings, foundation and floor slab, structural steel frame, insulated metal walls and roof, fire protection, apron and taxiway improvements, utilities, site improvements, communication and all necessary support. Trench drains running the length of the hangar conduct the wash water runoff into an oil/water separator and then into a storage tank. The storage tank is connected to the CAFB sanitary sewage system.
