The Elementary School Apartments project created new life for the Schofield Elementary School in Schofield, Wisconsin. Once a historic school that had served the community, this building had sat vacant for a number of years with few prospects for redevelopment. Commonwealth Development Corporation re-purposed this building into 18 units of housing, each unit with its own unique floor plan. Situated on a scenic parcel that overlooks Lake Wausau, this development was able to take advantage of an abundance of green space behind the historic school building in order to construction three new townhome buildings. These two-story townhomes provide individual entry, attached garages, and floor plans that mimic the layout fo a single-family home. P
