The Brothers That Just Do Gutters

Derrick relocated to Little Elm, TX in 2019 from Milwaukee, WI. While in Milwaukee, Derrick worked in the transportation industry since 1996. In 2001, he started a medical van transportation company.

As the owner/operator of DNK Trans, LLC Transportation, Derrick scheduled daily routes and transported clients to and from appointments; managed the crew; and kept vehicles serviced. After several years of building a successful company, he sold the equipment and customer list. Derrick then started a trucking division. With his new venture of semi-trucks and box trucks, he transported freight throughout the South and Midwest.  

Derrick and Neida decided it was a great time to move from the cold and snowy Wisconsin climate. They pulled out a map and two darts. Derrick’s dart landed on Texas, Neida’s dart landed on Oklahoma. They say Oklahoma is part of Texas – so here we are, a new start in Texas. Once in Texas, we decided with my past successful business experience, it was a great situation to buy into a franchise.

For six months, I searched numerous franchises and then the world entered into a pandemic. Once the pandemic began to ease, I continued searching for a franchise. I came across “The Brothers that Just Do Gutters” franchise and became intrigued. I watched numerous “YouTube” videos, read the FDD, and met with the founders. I made validation calls with current owners then talked with my family about the franchise. I woke up numerous nights thinking about the franchise. I studied the online training courses and went to New York for hands-on training. I understand having a great crew under me is everything! Just like “The Brothers that Just Do Gutters” need good franchisees under them. I’m convinced this franchise is a great fit for me and I’m excited about having a great team that will provide five-star service to our customers.
