Our Story

Pyro-Comm Systems was founded in Huntington Beach, CA in 1980 by and quickly became one of the premier fire alarm companies in Southern California. The company’s focus was providing quality installations and service to contractors, end-users, and property managers. Many of the employees have more than 20 years of service with Pyro-Comm Systems. In 1996, Pyro-Comm Systems opened their second office in Carlsbad, CA to support clients throughout the greater San Diego area. In 2010, Pyro-Comm Systems opened a third office in the San Francisco Bay area in order to support clients throughout Northern California. 

Today, Pyro-Comm Systems has ample staff throughout three offices and has annual revenues in excess of 20 million dollars from installations/ services over the past 5 years. 

Pyro-Comm Systems has been involved in the design, engineering, and installation phases of Fire/Life Safety, Healthcare Communications, Security Intrusion, Voice & Data, CCTV and Access Control Systems on thousands of projects with Owners, Engineers, Developers and General Contractors. From design, engineering and code consulting, Pyro-Comm Systems provides “value added” services to Professional Engineers & Architects, Developers, Contractors, and End Users. 

Pyro-Comm Systems' Engineering Department has been instrumental in developing cost savings without sacrificing dependability and code compliance in Fire/Life Safety Systems. We provide complete design/build projects and assist consulting engineers, end-users, and architects with design expertise. Our engineering department utilizes state-of-the-art networked computer aided design (CAD) stations and reproduction facilities to assure prompt and accurate delivery of engineered system drawings. Pyro-Comm Systems maintains a top quality engineering staff that includes NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level 4 certifications. 

Pyro-Comm Systems' Installation Department has installed many types of hard-wired and micro-processor based Fire Alarm and Security Systems throughout California. We have installed complete “Turnkey” projects for both owners and contractors that include restaurants, churches, stadiums, schools, hospitals, retail, commercial and industrial facilities and high-rise commercial/residential buildings. Pyro-Comm Systems installers are California State and NICET certified. Pyro-Comm Systems can provide Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certified systems and installation. 

Pyro-Comm Systems' Service Department maintains multiple low voltage integrated systems from Mexico to the San Francisco Bay Area. We carry a large inventory of equipment for instant replacement of defective parts. We provide 24-hour radio dispatched emergency service 7 days a week. Pyro-Comm Systems service technicians are also California State and NICET certified. 

Pyro-Comm Systems' Testing Department provides inspections/testing for multiple low voltage integrated systems from Mexico to the San Francisco Bay Area. We have dedicated testing teams that are able to inspect/test all types of life safety systems. We have the ability to provide Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listed fire and security Central Station Monitoring. Pyro-Comm Systems testing technicians are state and NICET certified.
