Scope Of Work

Bearing & Drive Solutions is a family of industrial maintenance companies founded in Souderton, Pennsylvania. BDS is composed of 12 businesses, and its facilities include eight large & local BDS warehouses throughout eastern PA and a service center in Quakertown.

Problem
BDS was looking to decrease its operating costs and improve the general light quality in its warehouse, offices and exterior lighting. Its warehouse lighting was not quite as bright as they wanted and its offices were due for a refresh. On the exterior they wanted to improve the light in the dock and walk way areas to increase safety. BDS asked Vested Energy to develop effective lighting solutions to address these goals.

Solution

Vested Energy provided the latest LED lamp technology for the whole facility. The new LEDs for the warehouse improved visibility, enabling easier product identification and selection by staff. Vested Energy replaced the old, tired exterior 400w Metal Halide fixtures with 90w LED wall packs, increasing the light output by 12,608 lumens, and tripling the light output. By switching to LEDs BDS reduced its interior energy costs by 60% and exterior costs by 80%, and virtually eliminated its lighting maintenance costs.
