In 1999, Gulzar Singh, a Graduate Civil Engineer after having over 15 years of experience in various phases of construction started a small construction company with his brother, nephew and two other employees. Originally he started with the small site work including layout, excavation, stone base, grading, asphalt paving, and soft surface installation for children’s’ play lots at multiple locations for Chicago public schools. In time, he extended his services into more categories to include concrete work, sewer work and site utilities. He always believed from the beginning that the organization is only as good as the people who work for the organization. He also believes in hard work, sincerity and dedication to his work. By growing from a small family into a much larger and extended family, now Pan-Oceanic has grown into one of the largest unionized Certified Minority Enterprises (MBE) firms in the Chicagoland area which is specializing in general contracting, excavation, aggregate base, site utilities, fencing, concrete and asphalt paving, streetscape projects, artificial turf soccer field construction. We look forward to continuing to serve public and private sector in Chicagoland area for years to come.
