1. Check for leaks. This may seem obvious, but many people do not check regularly for leaks around the house. Making sure all your plumbing is working efficiently is the best way to conserve water.

2. Only run your dishwasher and washing machine on a full load. It may be tempting to just throw in a few pots and pans, but a half full load simply wastes water.
