Stephen Segal has resided in Santa Barbara since 1964.
He graduated from UCSB in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree in
Environmental Studies. His senior thesis was on Residential Passive
Solar Energy.
After graduating from UCSB, Stephen worked for the City of Santa
Barbara as a Planning Technician from 1987 - 1988.
He then worked for a local general contractor from 1988 - 1990.
He formed Stephen Segal Construction in 1990, and has had his
successful business for 23 years.
Stephen Segal is a hands on, self-performing contractor. In most
instances he takes on one job at a time. This approach allows him to
provide full attention to a project, allowing for greater detail and
focus. He's on site throughout the project, and therefore does not
rely on additional supervisors. This reduces the overall cost for the client.
Stephen also has a 1000 square foot woodworking shop in Santa
Barbara's Funk Zone where he builds doors, gates, cabinetry,
furniture, and other architectural elements.
Stephen is married and has two children.
