Scope Of Work
DPR came on board at the White Oak project in 1996—charged with delivering the 64-MB DRAM (dynamic random-access memory) manufacturing campus in a record 12 months. The resulting facility produced one of the highest yield rates ever experienced in a new semiconductor production process.
The project included the construction of six buildings, comprising more than 700,000 sq. ft. It was one of the fastest megafabs ever built. At times, 1,200 were on site at one time.
It achieved its first Silicon Valley run in January of 1998, five weeks ahead of schedule. Nearly 20 years later, the project still ranks as one of the fastest-to-market facilities of its kind ever built.
