Daniel Young's Bio
Daniel Young has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. He majored in Construction Technology at Purdue University. After graduating, he designed structural steel in the Engineering Department for Marion Steel before opening Kingdom Construction with Bryan and Ryan.
Outside of work, Daniel is an active participant at Bethel Worship Center in Marion, IN. He takes part in youth ministry and mission work through his church. Daniel is the proud husband of a Dominican woman he met while on one of his mission trips.
As you know, philanthropy has always been a big part of who we are. Some highlights would be:
Daniel Young sits on the board for Habitat for Humanity and serves as split role with another gentleman as the Director of Construction. His role includes strategic planning as a board member, assisting in the build of new homes throughout the year and also diagnosing issues from any previous build as they arise. From there, Daniel will coordinate resolving any issues found from the inspections. 2018 hours donated to this project: Average of 8 hours a month on board meetings and diagnosing issues with previous builds.
Kingdom also provides siding and other projects as need arises. The current project Kingdom is working on for Habitat is a home in Marion where Kingdom has provided material and labor for the roof, siding, and vinyl flooring throughout. 2018 hours donated to this project: Average of 15 hours a month on construction projects donated by Kingdom. Daniel became a board member in the fall of 2018 and has since committed to the 4 re-roofs minimum annually.
Daniel Young serves as a missionary with his focus in Mexico and The Dominican Republic. Daniel regularly visits “Mision El Faro” or in English, “The Lighthouse” Training Center, located in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico. Mision El Faro is a missionary hub where missionaries from all over the world come and minister to the local community.
In 2007, Daniel started a group home for young men. His mother, another church member Joel, and himself rented a home and started taking in young men with addictions problems. They opened their home to serve the community and meet a growing need. This group of 3 hosted over 100 men from 16-30 over a 3 year period often times having multiple bunk-beds in the living room because they were beyond max capacity with the 4 bedroom home. There were times that 10 plus men lived in the 2500 sq ft home. The dream caught fire… they never said no to men who wanted authentic help and were willing to turn their life around. Daniel worked full time outside of the group home and the vision became so big that a Director was hired and he ran with the vision full time. This vision has turned into what is called Hope City in Marion, Indiana.
Kingdom provides repairs throughout the year to non-profit organizations, churches, and residents in need. A current project that arose in 2018 was a local church, Bethel Worship Center, has a roof that has been leaking since 1980. Kingdom explored the issue and found that the leak has been continual into the steel structures walls and literally rotted out steel members. Kingdom has designed the fix for the church and rolled out faze 1 of the strategy. 2018 hours donated to this project: 10
