Scope Of Work
Velez Organization constructed various projects at Harlem Hospital Center as part of the hospital’s program of improvements modernization at the Martin Luther King Pavilion. These projects include the construction of new Psychiatry AIDS in-patient units on the 9th 10th floors of the Martin Luther King Pavillion (with the possibility of adding the 11th floor of the MLK Pavillion); Lung Asthma Pediatric AIDS Units on the 1st, 2nd 3rd floors of the OPD Building; a two phase complete renovation of the Emergency Care Department; the replacement of the fire alarm system in five Harlem Hospital Center buildings. Additional work included renovation of an additional floor at the MLK Pavillion upgrade of the sprinkler system while maintaining no disruption to ongoing hospital operations.
