Mirador Builders is owned by Jennifer Hamelet, a native Houstonian. Jennifer spent several years living in Europe as a child but came back to Texas and graduated from the Kinkaid School before studying Interior Design at the University of Texas at Austin. She has been designing, building and marketing for over twenty-five years.

Jennifer’s greatest talent is in building custom homes with stunning architectural detail and exquisite beauty. She enjoys building homes of all styles, especially authentic French Provincial, Normandy, Spanish Colonial Revival, English Tudor, Latin Colonial and Coastal style homes over 5000 square feet. Jennifer has a special fondness for helping a first time home buyer build a small home and start the process of earning equity. Each Mirador custom home benefits from her years of experience and attention to detail.

Jennifer is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston and now volunteers her time to preserve the parks and esplanades in River Oaks and downtown Houston. She is a past president of the River Oaks Foundation. Jennifer is also a supporter of Historic Houston and never misses an opportunity to preserve an old home; or at least reclaim what she can from a home that must be torn down.
