With an engineering background in the semiconductor industry, Patrick has an impressive resume. Right after graduating with a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, he went to work as an epitaxy engineer building LASERs at ALFALight. He started as a process-engineer for Cypress Semiconductor but was soon promoted to operations manager. For Bergquist (now Henkel) Touchscreen, Patrick was an account manager and application engineer, and then moved on to be the chief operating officer of Lightwave Photonics.

Always up for new challenges, in 2016, he started his own brokerage, Strata Real Estate Resources, and has recently become a partner, broker, analyst, and director of operations at Caspian. Patrick values the principles of honesty and transparency above all, so he does not speculate but uses data to substantiate his position. Patrick’s advice for those who ask him is, “Do not be afraid to live the life you want today.” He lives by that credo himself.

In addition to his various roles in business, Patrick enjoys playing a few musical instruments as well as managing his kids’ soccer teams. He also serves on the Mendota Heights city planning commission and loves the Twin Cities and surrounding communities.

As the founding partner of Caspian Group, Rafik believes in building a business which empowers people to reach their highest potential. Having come from humble beginnings, he regularly reminds his team to be respectful and considerate to all, regardless of their financial position or social status. Rafik is a prolific reader who always tries to share the ideas and philosophies he learned to improve the lives of people around him.

Rafik has obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from University of Minnesota in 2001. His experience in financial risk management has started from his first job as a mortgage loan underwriter. He has 16 years of experience in real estate investing and has been involved in over $500 million of commercial real estate transactions. Rafik’s true strength comes from the depth of experience of his mentors. Rafik credits most of his accomplishments to people who have guided and mentored him, he often quotes Isaac Newton by saying “If I have seen farther, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants”.

Rafik lives with his wife and three children in Tonka Bay, MN. His hobbies are: fishing, chess and physical exercise. He is a triathlete, who strives to stay in good physical shape.

Brian Scholten joined Caspian Group in January of 2016. Prior to joining Caspian Group, he was an Air Force officer for 5 years separating in 2014 as a Captain. He then joined a multi-family brokerage firm before realizing that the industrial world was where he could help Rafik grow the Caspian brand, team, and portfolio.

He has 6 years of commercial investment and investment brokerage experience serving some of the largest industrial property holders in Minnesota. By adhering to the Air Force core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do, Brian serves his clients and community in a manner that builds trust, cohesion, and confidence from the very first meeting.

Brian works to ensure that every deal done is done in accordance with his Christian values (and the Golden Rule in particular). Treating others with respect, staying humble even in success, and relentlessly working to grow himself to keep him grounded, focused, and joyful.

When not working, his wife and three children keep him busy. Though he does enjoy golfing and reading in the few minutes of personal time he happens to find.

Orzugul grew up in Samarkand, Uzbekistan before moving to the United States and settling in the Twin Cities area. She attended Eden Prairie High School, where she graduated. While in high school, she gained experience working retail jobs, before training and joining Caspian Group as an executive assistant. She then moved into property management.

Orzugul loves the environment at Caspian, recommending it to anyone who is contemplating using their services.

Orzugul currently lives in Excelsior, Minnesota with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with friends.

Sean grew up in Uzbekistan and came to New York when he was 15. He lived there for five years before recently moving to Minnesota.

Sean graduated from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn in 2017.

He worked as a lifeguard for four years and recently got into real estate. He worked in residential real estate in New York for three months before moving to Minnesota to get into commercial real estate.

He currently resides in Eden Prairie.

Sean’s hobbies include skiing which he had never done until recently and now he goes almost every weekend.

Tammy grew up in the Eastern European country of Georgia, where she attended University. She studied at Vekua Technical University, where she majored in Information Technology in Economics. She continued schooling after she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree, and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Caspian Academic Center.

Following graduation, Tammy worked for ten years at JSC Liberty Bank, where she managed her own branch, as well as being a corporate private banker. Tammy moved to the United States and settled in the Twin Cities, where she started her career as the accountant for Caspian Group.

In her free time, Tammy enjoys dancing and spending time with her family. She resides in Minneapolis with her husband and her three children.
