Professional Experience

Mark joined the drywall industry after graduation from college as a Technical Representative for United States Gypsum Company.  After three years in that job, Mark moved to Panel Tech, Inc. as Director of Technical Services, then General Manager/Vice President and eventually President.  In 1990, Mark became President of Grayhawk as part of a merger between Panel Tech, Inc. and Drywall, Inc. He became an owner in 1997 and the majority owner in 2002.  Mark is a past President of the Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry (AWCI) and the Bluegrass Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute.  He is a Certified Document Technologist (CSI) and a Certified EIFS Industry Professional (AWCI).  In 2006, he received the prestigious AWCI Pinnacle Award.

Personal Data

Mark and his wife Hope have been married 22 years.  They have three daughters, three son-in-laws, and seven grandchildren.  He enjoys golf, snow skiing, college athletics and travel.

Community/Professional Affiliations

Mark has served on the Living Arts & Science Center, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry, Foundation of the Wall & Ceiling Industry, AGC of Kentucky and Bluegrass Chapter of CSI board of directors.

Education

Graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, NE in 1979, with a BS in Architecture.

Professional Experience

In 1983, after three years teaching high school industrial education in Iowa, Kurt moved to Lexington, KY and began a new career as an estimator for Drywall, Inc.  In 1986, he was promoted to Chief Estimator and became Vice President – Estimating for Grayhawk as part of a merger between Panel Tech, Inc. and Drywall, Inc. in 1990.  Kurt has also served as a part-time estimating instructor at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College.  He is a Construction Document Technologist (CSI).

Personal Data

Kurt and his wife Denise have been married 30 years.  They have two children.  He enjoys golf, snow skiing and Taekwondo (4th degree black belt and instructor).

Education

Graduate of Wayne State University – Wayne, NE in 1980, with a BA in Education.

Professional Experience

Robert began his career in the drywall and plastering industry while working for a Grayhawk competitor.  His first two years were spent in the field supervising and installing EIFS.  The next ten years were spent in the office estimating and managing EIFS projects.  In 2003, Robert joined Grayhawk as an Estimator/Project Manager in the Louisville branch office and added framing and drywall to his previous EIFS experience.  Robert is a Certified EIFS Mechanic (AWCI).

Personal Data

Robert and his wife Carey have been married 18 years.  They have two children.  He enjoys attending his son’s sports activities and University of Louisville basketball games.

Education

Graduate of Silver Creek High School – Sellersburg, IN in1987 with a two year focus on drafting at the C.A. Prosser School of Technology.

Professional Experience

Colin began working in the construction industry as a paving and grading foreman for a small firm in northern California.  In the spring of 1999, he moved his family east to Lexington, KY and joined Grayhawk as a Truss Designer/Estimator in their emerging cold-formed metal roof truss business.  Colin now has responsibility for all of the truss division’s activities.

Personal Data

Colin and his wife Tracy have been married 22 years.  They have two children.  He enjoys waterskiing, boating, camping and taking his dune buggy off-roading with his family.

Education

Graduate of Western Kentucky University – Bowling Green, KY in 1989, with a BS in Education.

Professional Experience

After working seven years as the Office Manager for an industrial firm in Somerset, KY, Becky joined Grayhawk, LLC in the role of Accounts Payable Clerk in 1985.  In 2003, she was promoted to Office Manager/Bookkeeper.

Personal Data

Becky has two childre, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and three grandchildren.  She enjoys boating, sporting events and spending time with her family.

Community Affiliations

Becky is an active member of Lexington Habitat for Humanity and enjoys volunteering as time permits.

Education

Graduate of Lafayette High School - Lexington, KY in 1974 and has completed several business & computer classes at the University of Kentucky.
