Cornerstone Construction

Corey is the Vice President of Cornerstone. He has been working in construction since high school building houses on the Alabama gulf coast and now on Smith Lake. He worked for 10 years at the Gulf Shores Fire Rescue Dept. as a Firefighter/Paramedic and also the owner of Cornerstone Construction in Orange Beach. After 10 years of successfully remodeling condos and building houses along the gulf coast, Corey and his wife Rebecca followed God‘s calling on their lives and moved with their four children to Arley. Corey hung up his fire helmet and now devotes his time to building houses and preserving the art of craftsmanship. He has ran his own business for 17 years. He is excited about being a part of the Cornerstone Construction team as Vice President.

He is the president/owner of Cornerstone construction. He has been in the construction business his whole life and started his own company in 1989. His main focus in life is to keep God as the Cornerstone in everything that he does. He and his wife Angie are the parents of 4 and grandparents of 6 beautiful grandkids! We live, work, and play on Smith Lake and are glad to call this our home.

John is our Project Manager over our home remodels. He is from Birmingham where he was a general contractor and home builder for over 30 years. John is married to Kim and they have two kids, Michelle and Matthew. John heads our remodel team where we transform your house into your dream home. He has had a home on Smith Lake for over 20 years and made it his home in the last two years. John lives, works, and plays on Smith Lake. He loves being a part of the Cornerstone family and we love having him with us.

Kayla is the Office Manager. She helps with all billing, appointments, and keeps the guys in order! Kayla graduated from Wallace State with an accounting and administrative assistance degree and joined our team this past summer. Kayla, her husband Levi, and daughter Paeleigh have grown up on and around Smith Lake their whole life. We are so blessed to have Kayla.

Angie, Kevin’s wife has been apart of the company since the beginning. Angie homeschooled all four of their children and in recent years has been able to devote more of her time to the design side of the company. Her main role in the company is in the designer phase helping our clients pick out cabinets, colors, tile, flooring, etc, for your home. Angie’s main goal in life is to keep God first in all that she does.

Brittany is Kevin and Angie’s daughter and has been working with cornerstone since 2016. After graduating from Wallace state from their engineering technology program, she transferred to Auburn University to pursue her Bachelors of Architecture as well as a Bachelor's of Interior Architecture. After completing both degrees in May of 2022 she will still work for cornerstone running their marketing and social media platforms while she pursues her architecture licensure. Brittany is happy to call Smith Lake home and hopes to one day return to open her own firm and work with cornerstone and design beautiful custom homes. Until then she is happy to be a part of the family business. War Eagle!

Fran is the Office Assistant. Fran graduated from ECCC with a degree in Computer Programming and recently joined our team. Fran and her husband Michael have three fur babies and enjoy living and playing in the beautiful Smith Lake area.

Scotty moved to Alabama from Georgia in 2004 after hurricane Ivan and has been working with us ever since and is our top Superintendent. Scotty loves his wife, three kids, 5 grandkids, and being a part of the Cornerstone team. Thank you, Scotty.
