Scope Of Work
Tooles Contracting Group provided - services for the new 22,695 square foot addition which accommodates up to 100 special needs middle and high school students. The facility is a single story structure with load bearing exterior CMU walls and a steel joist and deck roof framing system and connects to the East English Village Preparatory Academy which was also built by Tooles. The exterior of the building is brick with a striated pattern to emulate the pattern on the existing high school. The interior walls are CMU painted with a variety of colors to designate each area of the building. The Diann Banks-Williamson Educational Center addition is currently seeking LEED Silver Certification and includes 12 classrooms, a science and computer lab, an art room and an occupational therapy and physical therapy room. Scope also includes additional parking to accommodate 40 staff and a dedicated bus drop-off.
