Schneider Contracting Corporation

Schneider Contracting Corporation is a specialty concrete construction business that works with residential, commercial and government clients. The majority of our work involves custom concrete finishes for building entrances, surrounds, terraces, driveways, pool decks, patios and walkways. These finishes can be as simple as adding a subtle color for a more appealing aesthetic, to incorporating more interesting joint/score patterns, to including a combination of textures and patterns to replicate various paving materials and various styles of aggregate exposures. The exposures include sands, pea gravel and various aggregates. We also work with concrete stenciling, template sandblasting, staining, dyes and other decorative surface treatments to further enhance the appearance.

To our work, we bring a high level of professionalism, a well-planned approach, a keen eye for detail, a dedication to getting it right, and an ability to communicate and problem solve based on both education and experience.  We are active in a number of organizations that promote our industry and the professionalism and knowledge with which our work is performed, and we travel regularly as we seek out new ideas and strategies to benefit our work and broaden our offerings.   The associations include the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), and active involvement in their Management Exchange groups (MIX), the Decorative Concrete Council (DCC), Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), the National Capital chapter of the American Concrete Institute (NCACI), and we serve on the advisory board of Concrete Contractor magazine.  We work within an approximate one hour radius of our office in Alexandria. 

Todd Schneider, the company owner/operator, holds a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and has more than 28 years of experience in the construction industry. For the first seven years, he worked as an engineer, superintendent, and project manager in highway and bridge construction (The Driggs Corporation & Lodigiani, USA). In 1993, he founded Schneider Contracting Corporation, the mission of which remains to offer the highest quality workmanship in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and the highest level of professionalism found anywhere in this industry.
