Brulhardt’s is a third generation family run business, and since we provide our clients with exceptional products and a first rate customer service experience. In 1920 when our grandfather Arnold Sr. first opened an upholstery shop in Manhattan, his idea was simple; Provide customers with a quality experience. Our grandmother, Masa joined him to fabricate window treatments. After World War II was over, our father Bob, and uncle, Arnold Jr, returned home and joined the family business. In 1990, Bob’s two sons Rob and Jan carried on the family tradition and just like the generations before us, we continue to value the bond between ourselves and our customers and still believe in trust and reliability.

Our services include draperies, sheer curtains, and top treatments such as upholstered and soft cornices. Design, installation and consulting for motorized shading systems. The upholstery trade includes everything from re-upholstery of rare antiques and modern classics like the Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair to architectural and acoustical wall upholstery. We also manufacture headboards, and bedding products such as comforters, bedskirts, and pillow shams.

Our product line consists of solar and blackout shades using Phifer Sheerweave, Mermet, and a beautiful line of woven wood shades, as well as traditional horizontal blinds, all available manual or motorized with different control options. We are a Somfy certified dealer and have great confidence in their product line. Somfy continues to be on the cutting edge for motorization, with integration options that continue to evolve as well as the fine motors and lift systems from Rollease Acmeda. Other product lines include Hunter Douglas, Horizons, Graber.

Our vision remains to raise our families, continue developing outstanding relationships with the clients we serve and to keep the same work ethic that our grandfather, uncle and our dad had since the doors first opened nearly 100 years ago.
