Mr. Grinage is a criminal justice professional with more than 34 years in law-enforcement and security. He is a retired detective sergeant from the New York Police Department. He spent more than half of his police career conducting/supervising investigations in areas such as burglaries, narcotics, background, internal affairs and organized crime. In addition to teaching New York Police Department professional development courses, he trained investigators in surveillance methods and plain-clothes street tactics.
He served as an adjunct professor at St John’s University and is currently an adjunct at the Technical College Institute in New York where he teaches security management and criminal justice. He also served as the director of security at a college that had 10 different campuses.
He has an Associate of Arts degree, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, a master’s degree in education and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.Mr. Grinage is a NYS licensed private investigator and a NYS certified general topics police instructor.
